Travel Agent Life: Friday Update

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Today is the perfect day to blog, because it is pouring outside currently while I’m writing this in my sweatpants. Here’s a quick update on things happening:

Punta Cana Bound

I’m heading to Punta Cana in a few weeks. I’ll be staying at the beautiful resort Dreams Punta Cana. I’ll be sharing tons of pics of the resort and surrounding area. If you’re not following me on Instagram yet, be sure to follow so you’ll get the updates: @travelagentdiary. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out there. I’m happy to help answer anything. I’ll also be writing a blog post on the resort and Uvero Alto Beach.

3K Giveaway

3K Giveaway is coming soon. Make sure you’re following on Instagram to get the opportunity to win. $50 CASH and tons of travel-related goodies

St Lucia Training

I’ve sent quite a few people to St. Lucia, mostly for honeymoons. It’s a wonderful destination for those looking for terrain similar to Hawaii, lush, bright green and blue water, but don’t want to travel the far distance of Hawaii. I’m currently in the process of being a destination expert. Travel Agents, you can access the FREE course here. You just need your IATA number. Learn as much as you can about this Caribbean place. It’s of course not the same as visiting but the training modules provide a lot of in-depth, inside knowledge for you to pass along to your clients.

Booking Submissions

Sometimes we get caught up in booking, booking, booking we forget to actually submit our bookings when applicable. For Travel Agents, make sure you are uploading your bookings appropriately and earn the rewards. For example, you can upload all of your AMResorts bookings into AMRewards portal. When you book any of the Secrets, Dreams, Breathless, Zoetry, and/or Sunscape properties, you can upload them and get credit for it. You get higher credit points for higher category resorts and room types. You can redeem for free nights, cash, or gifts for your clients. For any Jamaica bookings, be sure to register all bookings with OneLoveAgent. You can earn different touristy gifts. Be sure to check all of your properties to see if you can submit them anywhere. Don’t let bookings go to waste. You work hard for your sales, and need to be rewarded as such.
