College Spring Breakers: Where to Vacation!

College Spring Breakers: Where to Vacation!

Hi everyone – first and foremost today is a special day and I would like to give a sincere shout out to the men and women of this great nation who have fought and are fighting for our country, and for those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. This Veterans Day is for YOU! Now that I actually have a day off, I am able to get back to blogging. I’ve added some more pictures up (and more pictures are coming so stay tuned!). I wanted to talk about Spring Breakers, specifically the college kind. The phones have been a little mad lately with College Spring Breakers and their parents trying to lock in a great week-long trip during the school break this March.

I am sad to say that Cancun and Punta Cana are really starting to crack down on who they are allowing on their property during the Spring Break weeks. It has been an unusually tough job for travel agents to find arrangements for the Spring Break crew for 2017. As you may/may not know, the legal drinking age in both Dominican Republic and Mexico is 18; however, many hotels are raising the drinking age at their own property to 25 years old during the weeks of Spring Break.

Although it may seem unfair,  they have valid reason. Throughout the years, there have been several complaints from properties’ guests about the noise level and raucous that comes from the partying crew in early-mid March. Hotel staff is also stuck cleaning up the disgusting aftermath of vomit mixed with dress sequins and late night snacks. EW!

Are you in college looking to party it up this Spring Break and trying to decide where to go? Are you a Travel Agent that is booking clients on a Spring Break trip and trying to find where to send them? Look no further I have a list here for you of some of the places that happily accept College Spring Breakers… and allow them to get their (alcoholic) drink on.

I will add to this list as I hear more. Before you think about booking, please be sure to reach out to the property to double-check that they allow 18+ crew. Or, better yet have a Travel Agent do because that’s what we get paid for 🙂
